I wondered why the top of the stamp design was rounded :) I think this would look better without the rounded edge. But the design itself is really good!

140 Approved from TSC last year.
EAD is self-filed later on Aug 14th @ NSC with USPS tracking# proof.
But EAD check cashed today from NSC (LIN#)

I have EAD that is valid till Dec 2007, but I will be on leave of absence overseas from mid Feb to October , 2007. ( my Travel parole also expires in Dec 07)
My I-485 is pending with PD Jul 2002 ( EB3 india)
Will this time off destroy my Green Card application?
( does the EAD lose its validity if I stay overseas for >6 months and will this impact my GC process?)

Dear Sir/Mam,
I am presently working in India. My wife is getting an L1 visa approval petition. We need to go to the US consulate for visa stamping.
My question is that 1) Do I need to resign from my current job to get a L2 visa stamping on my passport? 2) If not required, do I need to carry any form or letter from the company that I am on long leave/vacation to show it to the US consulate officier?
Please advice.

Iam in a similar situation as Ihitha. Iam planning to go to Chennai in June for stamping. Which answer do you think would be a convincing one for that question asked by the VO ?
Also after changing from L1 to H1, i had my H1 transferred between 3 companies (i changed jobs within a span of 1 month), and the current employer iam working for, iam working for about 1 year and 3 months. When i go for stamping, would they be asking for paystubs from those two companies, or does it matter only with the latest company iam working for ?
It wouldd be great if someone can help me with some suggestions.

You can file 485 only from within USA. So I believe you will be back to USA before filing 485.

Hi ,
I have I-140 approved(ABC company) and have 5 months left in my first 6 year cycle. I was laid off from the job. A New employer XYZ applied for my H1B extension based on I-140 approval and got approved for 3 years.But I was unable to join
XYZ due to family situation and moved back to India.
Questions/options:
1. Can a new employer apply for H1B extension based on my I-140 approval even though I am not in USA.? My I-140 has not been revoked or cancelled.
or
2.Can I claim the remaining time on my H1B approval(based on I-140) with company XYZ ?I have copy of the H1B approval but not sure if it has been revoked.
Please advice.

I applied EAD for my wife in Dec Last Week. Case is still pending with USCIS. I have to move to a different state due to job change. I have put a forwarding adress with USPS. All my mail are getting forwarded.
My question is if EAD is approved will it also get forwarded to my new address as other mail or do i need to submit a change of address with USCIS.
Did any one faced this situatin before? Please advice and share your experiences.

Does USCIS usually says this. i assume it should say "AP approved " or something similar. Have anyone seen this message on tracking your online case status.

Hi,
I am in the same situation, I called my lawyer and he mentioned that there is no problem legally, but the issue is incase they need some clarification from you and you are not in US then it would be an issue as the time frame is very short.
I am going to canada for my stamping, so he said it might not be an issue.

1) Why TSC is late in issuing receipt compared to NSC?
2) Looks like more applicaiton were filed at NSC than at TSC, Why?
3) Why even then TSC is late in issuing reciept?
4) Which one is faster in approving 485, TSC or NSC?
5) Does any body know how many application each service center recieved during the VB fiasco?

I have never been to the meeting but will like to attend one if scheduled in future. i think its high time our Chapter schedule meeting with Senators/Congressmen in this area including MD, VA and DC. The President has started the immigration reform initiative and it is right time to make the lawmakers aware of our EB issues. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for sharing the info, But seriously do you want to believe this kind of source (friends lawyer close to uscis) not even from infopass or any kind of believable source? How about it if lawyer is having just fun at our expense.
